North Coast Harbor Transient Marina - Housing & General Building
North Coast Harbor Transient Marina
As part of the City of Cleveland’s Downtown Lake-front Plan, the North Coast Harbor Transient Marina provides docks and amenities for transient boaters at North Coast Harbor. The project was a small but important step for a city on the move to provide high-quality recreational access to its waterfronts.
G. Stephens, Inc. served as the General Contractor for the Construction Manager of this project. GSI was responsible for managing all crews and subcontractors representing the construction of the amenities building. GSI was also responsible for enforcing the schedule, evaluating the project budget and enforcing safety standards. As General Contractor, GSI ensured that submittals, change orders and pay applications were within contract requirements.
The $2.3 million project included 53 slips. GSI’s contribution to the project included a floating amenities building with showers, laundry and restrooms. The new amenities building was constructed on top of the new dock system.
The marina occupies a section of the seven-acre North Coast Harbor basin just north of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
